ABOUT CFBR
Chris went live with Chicago Football Recruiting in January of 2025, though it had been in the works for several months prior. He spent three years working with National Preps as a scout for Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, and Indiana. Chris has a wealth of football experience and knowledge of football in the Chicagoland area , having spent 25 years coaching high school football, the last nine years of which were as the head coach at Lake Park High School. Throughout his coaching career, Chris developed a reputation for his leadership, player development, and ability to build competitive programs. He also became well-respected by college coaches because of his realistic and honest evaluations of his own athletes as they moved on to play at the collegiate level.
A graduate of Indiana University, Chris had the privilege of playing football under the legendary Bill Mallory, an experience that helped shape his coaching philosophy and deep understanding of the game. His time as a player instilled in him a passion for mentoring young athletes, which he carried into his coaching and now into his scouting career.
Off the field, Chris and his wife, Kara, are both dedicated high school educators. Their commitment to education and athletics has also influenced their children. Their daughter, Kate, serves as Director of Football Administration and Assistant to the Head Coach at the University of Southern Mississippi under Coach Charles Huff. Meanwhile, their son, Peter, is preparing for his senior year of football at the U.S. Naval Academy, continuing the family's strong ties to the sport.
With his extensive background in coaching, teaching, and player development, Chris brings invaluable insight and expertise to Chicago Football Recruiting, where he is dedicated to identifying and evaluating the next generation of football talent.
